1. Will my network stop working if I lose my Internet connection?

No. The network equipment is configured and managed via the cloud using an encrypted secure connection. The network equipment does not need an Internet connection to operate. If your business Internet connection is lost you will still have access to your local area network to access files, printers, local servers, etc. Obviously, if your Internet connection is lost from the carrier you will not be able to access web pages, social media, etc.

2. Do I need a fast Internet connection for this service to work?

No. The network equipment is not dependent on the Internet to function. The configuration and management of the network equipment does require an Internet connection. The Internet connection can be any speed above a 56K dial-up modem.

3. Does my business/personal data get sent to the cloud or viewed by others?

No. The operating system on the equipment is separated into two planes. The data plane is the section where your network traffic and data resides. The management plane is a separate section that controls the configuration, management, and monitoring of the equipment. The management plane traffic is sent to our cloud via an encrypted secure connection (See our How It Works page for more details). This is the way we configure the equipment, troubleshoot issues with the equipment, and monitor the equipment. The data plane traffic operates separately and is never seen by our cloud data center or any technicians.

4. We have a 3rd party IT vendor and/or a full-time IT professional on staff. Can we still use your service?

Yes. Most of our clients have a 3rd party IT Company or a full-time IT staff member on site. Those services often primarily focus on desktop support, server maintenance, and backup/disaster recovery. Our services concentrate on the “roadways” of your network. The way information travels from point A to point B. Because we specialize in the core of your network, we are always welcomed by your current IT solutions provider because we can assist in fine-tuning and optimizing the network to their preferences which benefits your company.

5. Is the hardware included in your service?

Yes. Each of our services includes the appropriate equipment, installation, configuration, monitoring, and reporting. Our network design professionals will work with you to analyze your current environment and then make recommendations of the appropriate equipment to meet your core infrastructure goals.

6. I've heard of a local area network. What's the local area cloud that I see mentioned on your website?

Our services are cloud-based network infrastructure solutions. These solutions deal primarily with the local area network of businesses. Because the configuration, management, troubleshooting, and reporting on that equipment is done from the cloud, we are merging the local area network with the cloud. We refer to this as the Local Area Cloud!

7. I know what I want. Can you ship the equipment to me and I can install it?

Yes. Because our services are cloud-based, we can pre-configure all of the equipment while it is in transit to your office. We call this a “Zero Touch” installation. Our technicians will work with you or your IT provider to obtain the exact details of your network. We take that information and configure all of your equipment. All you need to do is plug it in and start enjoying your new network!
